- From US$264.76 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 136 reviewsLocation is right on exit/entrance to Park and away from congestion of the main drag (thankfully!). Property has a mountain lodge vibe but is basically a motel property. Special touches that we appreciated: hot cider and cookies in afternoon! Breakfast okay; liked size of room, walk-in shower and balcony, but soundproofing non-existent between our room and next room (had a connecting door for two-room reservation). Fortunately our unknown neighbors observed good evening quiet! Location is outstanding - perfect access to Park without navigating traffic congestion! Also grateful for washer and dryer.Guest review byKristin C.United States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 2,763 reviewsWe really enjoyed the free breakfast. Having the balcony off the room overlooking the river, was very peaceful and relaxing. The bird watch was fun with the ducks and Canadian geese. We even saw a bald eagle. At least we think it was a bald eagle.Guest review bykellyCanada

Pigeon Forge is like a small entertainment town...
Pigeon Forge is like a small entertainment town concentrating on country vibes (think Orlando, Florida on a much smaller scale). It was a lot of fun. If you stay on Highway (main street), you can walk to most attractions and restaurants. "The Island" is a small amusemdnt park with free parking and entry. There are a few rides, a lake with a fountain, restaurants, souvenir shops and dinosaurs (my favorite part). There is a transit center where you can park your car for free and for $3, purchase a ticket for a hop on/hop off trolley to different sections of Pigeon Forge including Dollywood. At the same station you can catch a trolley for $1 to Gatlinsburg and then take take the Gatlinsburg trolley around for free.Guest review byZoeBUnited States - 4.0

1 night, next time I’d give Gatlinburg a pass. Too touristy, couldn’t find a decent restaurant without fried menu. We left this tourist trap asap, enjoyed the drive out thru the Smokies to Blowing Rock NC.Guest review byJoanneUnited States - 10.0

We absolutely love floating the Ocanlufte river, the indigenous people and all the attractions. The hiking trails are amazingly beautiful and to be able to experience a close encounter with the elk is awesome! As for a great breakfast, Peter’s Pancake and Waffle House is the bomb! Sometimes you have to wait a bit but totally worth it! For dinner we usually grab a chicken dinner to go at the “All fried up” restaurant and take it back to our room to enjoy, but if you are looking for a great seafood restaurant, take a 14 mile trip to Sylvia to the Creekside Oyster house! Best seafood in N.C. In my opinion. If you enjoy hiking be sure to go to Bryson to the Deep creek hiking trails where you can see 3 different waterfalls , people tubing, and all sorts of beautiful nature all on the well maintained trails.Guest review byBorton - 10.0

Country vittles is the BEST place for breakfast - usually too full to try their lunch. They are closed Tuesdays. The BBQ in the plaza is okay, Chinese restaurant sucks. Want to gem mine or pan for gold - go to Thermal City out by Union Mill, east of Asheville. Cherokee is a great place to visit as is Gem City in FranklinGuest review byJeffUnited States - 10.0
The downtown area had places to eat and shop.
The downtown area had places to eat and shop. People are nice, helpful and receptive. There is a variety of food and bars. We did the Smokey Mountain Railroad trip to the gouge. The left side of the train as its traveling gives the best view. Food on the train was as good as any restaurant.Guest review byYoungUnited States - 10.0

Townsend is the perfect place to stay since it's close to Cade's Cove and Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg but offers a place to come back to away from the crowds. It has wonderful little restaurants as well.Guest review byAmyUnited States - 8.0
Area as expected.
Area as expected. Beautiful mountain scenery and average mountain town. Nice people, feels very safe. Close to hiking, mountains and lakes we wanted to explore. A lot of beautiful wide open spaces which is great to see. Topoco tavern a must place to see and eat located just outside town.Guest review byJulieUnited States - 10.0

We love this area and visit often.
We love this area and visit often. Our main focus is driving the roads but we do like to take time (or a rainy day) to head to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge or Knoxville to check out the tourist attractions. Maryville is wonderfully central to everything that we want to see or do and has a ton of places to eat, stay, get gas, etc.Guest review byANGIE
