The apartment was great, clean with a well equipped kitchen, the pool was very nice and the area is beautiful for a quiet vacation. BUT - service was terrible! We booked the apt. for 6 people and when we got there we realized that there were missing beddings for the sofa bed. We sent immediately a massage to the owner, she kept send us to recheck all around the apt for the missing items, and did nothing to solve the problem. Only on the last day of our stay somebody dropped off the missing beddings. Contacting her felt like bagging your head in the wall. Zero effort to help. My two daughters had to sleep in the same bed because of that. We got no refund for that or any compensation, only empty apologizing words.

We had such a good time. We were only there for 1 night this time but will definitively come back. The cinnamon twist for breakfast were divine, the cabin prepared thoughtfully and the mattress felt like sleeping in a cloud.

    Beautiful inn situated in picturesque surroundings only minutes from historic Waitsfield. Great room and facilities including spa, outdoor fire. Our bed (yes, it was a featherbed) was incredibly comfortable, breakfasts were a treat with all local produce and our hosts (Karen and Mick) were amazing, very knowledgeable about local tourist attractions and places to visit.

    The White Horse Inn was wonderful!

    The White Horse Inn was wonderful! Very comfortable and clean. Bob And Allen are great owners! Location was perfect...quiet but yet accessible to Killington and Stowe. Would definitely stay here again! Frank & Linda

    How they lie and then charge you extra.

    How they lie and then charge you extra. After giving an honest review they charge me stating I smoked in the room. On camera”if they even worked” you can see I was outside. Lied about my cigarette waste was not in their trash. They do not provide trash outside. Slept horrible waking up at 2 am with the room at 85 degrees. And lights kept flickering. At least if your going to scam me- use the money wisely to fix up your place. Not even mentioned my in laws room was horrible and worse than mine.

    Waitsfield is exactly how I pictured a small New England...

    Waitsfield is exactly how I pictured a small New England town should look. It has adorable shops, a farmer's market, and some good restaurant options. We had delicious steak at the Hyde Away Inn, and beer at Lawson's Finest Liquids. Our stay at the Mad River Lodge was comfortable, in a lovely setting just outside of town. We were in the area for the Mad River Marathon, which is challenging, but scenic.

    We loved the town, however we had a hard time finding...

    We loved the town, however we had a hard time finding businesses and restaurants that were actually open for business. This was partly due to COVID and also we visited on a Monday/Tuesday. We sadly learned that some of the establishments we wanted to visit were closed permanently or not opened due to the days of the week. We ended up having to go to the supermarket to purchase our dinner, because 3 of the restaurants we wanted to go to were closed for business, or closed at 8 pm, (we live in the city and an 8 pm close is unheard of) and we didn’t want to eat pizza or Chinese.... so we ended up at at the grocery store which also closed at 9.
