We came to Seattle by accident!
We came to Seattle by accident! Our flights to Vancouver Island were cancelled given an Air Canada strike so flew to Seattle instead thinking we could get to Vancouver by car and from there to Victoria. In the end we got the Clipper Ferry from Seattle to Victoria which was a wonderful trip and likely saved us time. Also spotted whales on the journey, a nice bonus. We had just a day in Seattle, went to the Chihuly Garden and Glass which was truly amazing then took the Seattle monorail to downtown, visited the market. Didn't do the Space Needle, another time maybe. What an amazing place and has given us the taste - we'll be back!Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 4.0

It's amazing SeaTac functions at all, it is not user friendly in any way, it's way too crowded and officials in any capacity are stressed and not particularly friendly. Not a great experience for those visiting Seattle, but there's no other optionGuest review bybryanUnited States - 4.0
City needs to clean out its drug users. Not a safe place.
City needs to clean out its drug users. Not a safe place. Was stranded by Greyhound else would not have stayed there. Drug addict asleep in parking spot at Tiki hotel. Another banging on motel door. Bad bed, flat pillows.Guest review byCheriUnited States - 10.0

Many stores close early this time of year. (Sept) The 18 hole miniature golf at Icicle Village Resort was challenging and FUN. Only visitors to the Fish Hatchery. Watched a coho salmon being caught for transfer to another site.Guest review byMarthaUnited States - 10.0

Beautiful little town, especially at Christmastime, with wonderful decorations. Chick-Fil-A is conveniently located, lots of little shops and a great Mall. Snowflake Lane's small show from Thanksgiving through Christmas is only 20 min, but worth driving 4 hours and staying overnight just to see.Guest review byCliveUnited States - 8.0

If I had come earlier in the fall when the weather was better two nights at the hotel with time to explore Hurricane Ridge would have been my preference. The town is ok, it lacks the charm of places like Port Townsend or Poulsbo but most people come for the Olympic Forest or the ferry to Victoria BC.Guest review byJamalUnited States - 10.0
Bellingham has a really nice safe vibe.
Bellingham has a really nice safe vibe. Family friendly, no skyscrapers, easy to get around. Lots of great restaurants, coffee houses etc.We much preferred it to the big city vibe in Seattle. Walking along the bay in Boulevard Park at sunset with the all the families was a joy.Guest review byKeir CareccioUnited States - 8.0

I only live 30 min north of Vancouver, my reason for visiting was my pets and 4th of July noise. If you are visiting the Portland Or/Vancouver area, the Vancouver side of the river is just less crowded than the Portland side. For a very good meal, Little Italy downtown Vancouver has been one of my favorites for several years great food and good people. Visiting especially down town Portland, I would recommend driving to the Van Port park and ride then take the yellow line train into down town, way easier and cheaper than paying for parking downtown. If it is raining go to the expo center park and ride, it's the end of the line there is always a train there so you can wait inside the train. In Portland, every one uses the train. And umbrellas are for tourist lolGuest review byrotharmel
