We enjoyed few acitivities: nature exploration (it was amazing experience, gentle walk around the resort, we saw one monkey family and learnt a lot about plants growing in the resort which are also used in the restaurant), spa (we got the best massages ever-vietnamese traditional massage and swedish), hiking (fun experience, easy climb with our guide, wear good shoes and long pants because it can be slippery), kayaking (couldn't go far because of the wind but it was fun and easy to organize). Nha Trang is a lovely beach but can get extremely busy during peak times not only with people but with cars, motorbikes and noise. Ninh Van Bay is one of the most beautiful places I've been in Vietnam. The sea is something special and surrounded by mountains makes it spectacular. Awesome friendly locals and the beach there is the best, can swim there any time of the year as its protected from the winds and swell, great for families. Very nice place. Recovering from the ravages of COVID - some places are still not open or redeveloping. With the invasion of Ukraine 🇺🇦 by Russia 🇷🇺 - as a Canadian, whose people and government support Ukraine - the largest population of Ukrainians outside Ukraine is Canada 🇨🇦 - I found it difficult to be around so many Russians who were on vacation and enjoying themselves in Nha Trang while their military and government was raining down bombs on the civilian population of Ukraine 🇺🇦. Cam Rahn is the gateway to the International airport. Although the place is now in renovation of the streets and all, it might take sometime to complete those projects unlike Nha Trang which is well developed already. Great place to visit, just the amount of plastic and cigarette butts along the beaches! And the rudeness of the motorcycle riders riding the wrong way on the streets and footpaths. You won't experience much of the Vietnamese culture by staying in Cam Ranh, it is very touristy (many Russian and Korean tourists) and there is not much the see in terms of sightseeing; one temple and one shrine. Nevertheless, because of the tourist aspect, the facilities are good and there are many restaurants and shops.
