One of the best place I stayed in Vietnam! It's in a remote village, the place is gorgeous, it's a traditional building with a palm leaves roof. The room is made of wood, so pretty. There is a pool. On top of all of that, the host was extremely nice. He speaks english and organises tours. I did a tour and we visited a Tai (ethnic minority) market and a weaving place where I could try the loom. The views were gorgeous! It's also walking distance from the waterfall. I really recommand it.

Wow! What a fantastic place to stay. Going to Pu Luong requires a bit more effort and a longer journey (on some bumpy roads) than other places, but it is totally worth it! The Eco Garden is a great place to be at one with nature. Take the opportunity to visit rice paddies, a bat cave and local village communities with a guide too. Would highly recommend going before it becomes the next Sapa!

The views from the room across to the mountains were breathtaking. You're surrounded by greenery. It's a brand new property that's only been open for a couple of months, as such there were a few teething problems but nothing the incredibly helpful staff couldn't assist with. Ms Senna and Ms Marie helped organise everything from changing flights to arranging drivers to discovering the local towns. Towels luxurious, restaurant food exceptional and the setting stunning. We finished a perfect day with a foot massage from the lovely ladies in the spa.

Everything!!! And mostly the hosts. They have a honest kindness. Food made,presented and served with love. they were the best hosts in our journey. a narrow path to walk in the forest with great views and small falls along they have their natural private small river to swim also with small falls. Loved the hospitality of Hoai and his family and the fact that Hoai speaks excellent English and went out of his way to organize outings for us. He was invaluable to communicate with our driver and we learned much about Pu Luong from him. We loved experiencing village life here, and the trip to the bat cave and the bamboo raft were perfect activities for us, for younger people, there are hikes to do with local guides. Simple but good meals, plenty of meat, fruit and veges, and delicious banana pancakes for breakfast. Fantastic to have WIFI. Perfect place to chill and unwind from Hanoi. This is a really authentic unforgettable rural Vietnam experience.

    My stay at Pu Luong Retreat has satisfied me Beyond any expectation. A special praise goes to the staff of the hotel, which first welcomed in Pu Luong and gave me so many tips on the area, on what to do and how to move through the enchanting beauty of this exotic landscape. Each member of the staff has been kind, professional and dedicated giving special attention to me as well as to each of the guests. The room was clean and beautifully furnished, not to mention the view of the blue mountains standing in the horizon surrounding the greenest rice fields and rice terraces. The breakfast has a wide choice of food, varying from the continental one to the vietnamese specialties. I booked a one day trekking of more than 14 km visiting the enchanting Kho Muong village and its mysterious cave, here I had an abundant, tasty lunch at a homestay, then me and the guide walked all through the Natural Reserve to get to the Thai Village of Uoi Lan Where i experienced the local art of making brocade textiles. ialso had the chance to experience a moment of bliss with a great energizing and yet relaxing massage at the Retreat Spa Just before leaving to Hanoi. Pu Luong Retreat was so pleasant i would recommend it to anyone.

    Pu Luong was a highlight, a pretty low-key area, hire some scooters and visit the local sights, the market, waterfall, the silk village, all worth making an effort to visit. If you go to the waterfall, make sure you head up the track on the right-hand side of the river to discover other swimming holes that are not so busy. The big restaurant alongside that waterhole is pretty so-so, don't bother unless you are starving.

    Small city. Not very busy. Nice place for shopping cellphone and associated gadgets. Not much to see however Samson Beach is beautiful with lot of restaurants. People are not used to see other races. Very few people spek English. Nice restaurants inside VinPlaza mall. The food is lovely.

    This is a popular region with plenty of Homestays and...

    This is a popular region with plenty of Homestays and Resorts. But not many Westerners, Hire a motorcycle and Explore the region, there is a couple good half day rides that are just quiet backroads with little villages, cafes for food & coffee. Mostly Rice Terraces amidst the valleys & mountains. It does have Rainfall events but these occurred in the Morning & Evining during our 3 day stay.
