We all loved George.
We all loved George. It is so close to so many attractions and beautiful areas. It is a good base to be at to do day trips. George is so clean, and no potholes. We wished that we had more time to look around. We had a fantastic meal at Cula restaurant.Guest review byRoslynAustralia - 10.0

Loved the view and i enjoyed climbing the stairs to our room. The room was cozy, bed very comfortable - had all we needed. All shops, restaurants and beach in walking distance, loved our beach strolls. The artist was busy with the most beautiful paintings within the subway leading to the beach. The breakfast at the place was delicious so we enjoyed dinner at The Blue Olive the Friday night and Ilali the Saturday night. place was stunning, however when i booked was noted we had to vacate the place between 8-12am, we had cleaning staff demanding we leave at 9.30 so they can clean as new tenants arrive at 2.. we were intending to leave at 10, they could not wait and insisted to invade our space. very unnecessary as the cabin was kept as we found it. i think the maids must understand we are the paying customer not them. bit of a spoiler. the host michelle was very attentive and gracious. thank you michelle for the response on the call out too😉 to brian and verner can see you have a close family and have had wonderful times have memories... luv that.Guest review byelizabeth annSouth Africa - 10.0

The whole experience was just first class.
The whole experience was just first class. Whilst travelling tot he venue there was a phone call to assist with booking in and enjoyment of the facilities. The pictures on the web site do not do justice to the actual facilities and rooms etc...... recommend a new set of photos as it was much nicer in reality than expected........ Hoekwil is beautiful with lots to see - there is a big tree nearby which you can visit (make sure to wear comfortable shoes). There are also a few nice places to eat, drink coffee and enjoy the quiet surrounds. The accommodation in the area is also very nice and neat.Guest review byAnonymous - 4.0
What wasn't closed for Easter was mostly booked out.
What wasn't closed for Easter was mostly booked out. Not much to do or see. Beaches overdeveloped or off limits to non residents. Not a tourist friendly town. Nearby "Wilderness" was a joke with SAN Parks waiting to fleece overseas visitors just to go for a walk. Four days of disappointment.Guest review byJohnAustralia - 10.0

A small village on the east coast between George and Knysna. People are friendly and services adequate for basic needs. Plenty of restaurants catering for a variety of cuisines some of them highly recommended. The accommodation was awesome, the reception super friendly and informative. The view was unequaled. It was a most memorable stay. The meals at Dutton's Cove were amazing. So glad that we chose Herold's Bay as a destination and Ozone Apartments as our host. The hike to the cross and the view from there was breathtaking. We were even blessed to see well over 300 dolphins in 2 consecutive days and 2 whales. Will definitely re-visit.Guest review byBrown
