- From $86.85 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 91 reviewsWe were received by the owner personally who was very friendly and welcoming. We booked a single room, but Hester upgraded our booking to a self service cottage with excellent facilities. Breakfast was included in our booking and we still had the privilege of enjoying our breakfasts. Hester's husband also gave us an tour of the fossil museum, which we thoroughly enjoyed. A supper were offered at a very fair price, which we accepted and it was delivered to our cottage. Very tasty Karoo tripe and a chicken potjiekos.Guest review byStienieSouth Africa
- From $60.79 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 92 reviewsThe self catering unit we had at Country Village was spotlessly clean, and looked fresh and crisp. After a long trip it was a very refreshing place to walk into. Kitchen area was well equipped. No need here to worry about load-shedding as unit was equipped with a gas cooker and rechargeable LED lamps. Excellent value for money. Our host, Natasha was impressively hands-on and efficient!Guest review byKirkmanSouth Africa
- From $104.22 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 247 reviewsI like the old furniture and the food was great. Warm water and the shower was big enough. The wooden floors, vintage things at the tables. Beautiful. Will definitely stay there again.Guest review byErasmusSouth Africa

The town has a long history and it is very well worthwhile exploring the sights in town as well as the nature reserves nearby. The Valley of Desolation is amazing. Plenty of good places to eat in town. On Sundays the town is very quiet.Guest review byNOELSouth Africa - 10.0
Quaint town, beautiful to walk around.
Quaint town, beautiful to walk around. Tourism was quiet but we had a very enjoyable experience. We will be back. I love that it has farm almost in town, it has that old fashioned back to basics feel. The scenery is spectacular.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
It was easy to find the accommodation.
It was easy to find the accommodation. Graaff - Reinet is a must visit town! I found the staff at 4 Rothman street B & B to be professional, friendly and helpful in particlar due to the fact that I arrived very late. Unfortunately it was only overnight stay. I will visit Graaf - Reinet again to explore more of the town and surrounds.Guest review byLourensSouth Africa - 10.0
Complete break from city life in the best possible way.
Complete break from city life in the best possible way. I can't comment on the restaurants as we chose to braai - I have no words to describe the night sky. The stars were breathtaking. The Owl House is a must see. Sadly we ran out of time for the fossil museum and the Stone People. We will definitely be back.Guest review byAnonymousSouth Africa - 10.0

We enjoyed our lunch at Maria's café as well as dinner at Coldstream Restaurant and visited the Graaff-Reinet Museum. We also browsed through local small business shops and bought very delicious dried fruit at Kamdeboo Slaghuis. The highlight of our visit to Graaff-Reinet was most definitely our stay at the Drostdy Hotel with superb breakfast. The friendly hospitality of the well trained staff stood out. We will definitely visit Graaff-Reinet again in near future.Guest review byChris - 8.0
Time seems to have stopped in Nieu Bethesda.
Time seems to have stopped in Nieu Bethesda. It is refreshing and humbling to see how simply people live and yet how full their lives are - there is colour and mystery and warmth and friendliness everywhere you go. A few days here reminds one of what is important - goodness and kindness and faith and gratitude and relationships... and GREAT food!Guest review byGlendaSouth Africa
