- From US$214.01 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 314 reviewsOur third visit to this wonderful oasis. We come to see Andre the manager whom we fell in love with on our first visit approx 13 years ago. He was on top form making everyone feel welcome and ensuring everyone was having a relaxing time. The property has a lovely large infinity pool overlooking the ostriches and fields which is so relaxing, there’s also a seating area and a bar which is is great to lounge in after a busy day out exploring. Breakfast is an excellent varied hot and cold buffet and dinner is a delicious three course event with a Braai of a choice of meat, I really recommend the Karoo lamb or the local ostrich. Room super comfortable overlooking the garden and fields with big king bed and lovely soft pillows, I love the decadent ostrich skin headboards that only this area of SA would have and consider normal. large bathroom with big bath and separate shower, also separate loo. Always sad to leave this place. Parking very safe just outside your room, very convenient. Everything spotlessly clean.Guest review bycatherineUnited Kingdom

The room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, with lovely views of the farm. Dinner was a highlight — the ostrich bobotie was outstanding, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel truly welcomed. The peaceful setting made it all even more special. Highly recommended!Guest review byViriatoBrazil

we have been to Oudtshoorn several times over a number of years. The attractions are mainly the same but still worth a visit - however interesting to see how much the town has grown and evolved. The drive through the Swartberg Mountains is NOT to be missed. The primary reason we took this trip.Guest review bySumayaSouth Africa - 10.0
The cottage is perfect for a short or long stay.
The cottage is perfect for a short or long stay. There is a large back patio with built-in braai, protected from the water and a front stoep to soak in the beautiful views. The bathrooms are really spacious with large walk in showers. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. There is no TV but fast wifi so streaming from your phone is easy.Guest review byElmarieSouth Africa - 10.0

A wonderful spot for a mini break - offers scenic drives and wonderful experiences. The people are generally warm and welcoming. There are many small businesses worth supporting. Stayed at Mooiplaas guest house a few years ago and the service and provisions were highly commendable!Guest review byWSouth Africa - 8.0

It is a very quaint and tranquil little town bout 30 km from Oudtshoorn in the Western Cape. There is an ample amount of restaurants and wine shops and a few souvenir shops. Spending a full day to experience the real charm of the little village. While there take a short drive into Meiringspoort and discover CJ Langenhovens carved stone with the inscription Herry, which was the name of his imaginary elephant or travel up to the waterfall, all a mere 10 or 12 kim from De Rust.Guest review byChrisfcsSouth Africa
