Lovely hotel in beautiful North African style. Big comfortable rooms and peaceful garden courtyard which was perfect to have breakfast and a coffee in. Omar was very kind and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. Good location and easy to get to shops, restaurants and the station. We had a really happy stay 😊. Merci beaucoup
Pierre provided me with the most delicious traditional breakfast, with home made jams, croissants, bread, cheese, orange juice, coffee, eggs, cereals, fruit. The setting was a nice calm courtyard which was the perfect way to enjoy the nice warm French sunshine. The bed was comfortable and the adjoining private shower and toilet were spotlessly clean and had everything I needed for my stay.
Lovely old property, family run. Lovely courtyard with lots of flowering plants.
The hotel's restaurant was outstanding. We enjoyed an excellent dinner that was of a very high standard at a very reasonable 3 course meal inclusive rate. We ate in the lovely outside garden courtyard, which was extremely pleasant, quiet and sheltered from the breeze. All staff were very pleasant and helpful.
This was a beautiful house to stay in. The building is stately and elegant, our room was spacious, quiet, comfortable and attractively decorated, the breakfast on the terrace was excellent (including homemade baked custard and traditional cake, as well as cheeses, fruit, varieties of bread etc.) but most of all Natalie was a superb host who went above and beyond to help, advise and look after us exceptionally well!
The hotel is very small (8 rooms) across 4 floors of a tall narrow building and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is in a good location, a few yards from La Canbiere and 10 minutes walk from the Old Port. The street is a bit scruffy but is quiet and felt perfectly safe. Breakfast is served overlooking a small planted courtyard and consists of the usual French fare with the addition of Moroccan pancakes which are delicious with honey. The room was quite large with painted walls and a tiled floor and three shuttered windows.
We had a wonderful stay in this cottage situated just outside the main centre of Avignon. The cottage is immaculately clean and has a very well equipped kitchen. There are two bathrooms and an additional toilet in the laundry room. The courtyard area is beautiful, full of healthy plants. Communication with the hosts is excellent. I highly recommend this property. Thank you Anne and Richard.
The hotel is set back in a quiet location, very close to the rail station, 20 min walk to Old Town (we bought tram/bus day passes). The staff are so friendly and helpful and went out of their way to ensure our stay was enjoyable. There were coffee machines everywhere (including in our room) and a fresh water fountain. We stayed in a superior room overlooking the pretty courtyard, it looked brand new with comfy bed, huge wardrobes and a lovely large walk-in shower. Our stay was perfect and we’ll definitely stay at Hotel Durante again!
