We stayed as a stop over on our way back home to Portugal. It was just was we needed after a long frustrating road trip. Reception was friendly and fast. Parking is to be booked and was easy to get to, right at the side of the hotel. Very stunning location with lovely views of the river. Not all rooms have views (you get what you pay for!) but I appreciated how quiet was ours which was at the back facing the courtyard of the front of the hotel. We found the bed very comfortable. It is dog friendly, and there is a restaurant with a terrace overlooking the old city are superb, where you can chill and have a very decently priced meal (and you can take your dog with you to eat outdoors). Their trio of sorbets is out of this world! From the hotel, it is a 10-15 minute walk over the old bridge to explore the old town. We didn't breakfast there but wished we had spent an extra night. For the price of our room, it was one of the best places we stayed in years.

Excellent location a few steps from the historic center with the possibility of secure parking for a motorcycle for 15 Euros per night. The hotel's beautiful architecture evokes the early 20th century. Absolute peace. A fantastic opportunity to sit in the cozy garden (the garden can be visited even after the staff have left by entering through the first floor - ask at the reception).

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Maison d'Hotes Delga offers accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and free WiFi.

I rarely score a property 10/10 but this place deserves it. The rooms are gorgeous with comfortable beds and overlook the lovely pool. There are only a few rooms so you will have lovely peace and quiet. Breakfast is good with great coffee and fabulous pastries and baguettes with homemade conserves. Emelia the host is the epitome of hospitality and generosity. We were able to easily source free parking at the lot next door as we stayed over the weekend and you only pay for more than 2 hours during the work days. I would return here in a heartbeat and will happily recommend to my friends and any fellow travellers. You will not be disappointed!

Superb old castle now turned into a high class B&B. Marie was the consummate host welcoming us on arrival and telling us the history of the building, also booking us a place for dinner that was a local haunt!
