Excellent overnight stop at this classic alpine hotel. Lovely location, friendly and engaging owners/staff, excellent evening meal and top breakfast. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious with views through the gardens to the mountains beyond. We would happily return and recommend to other travellers.

If you’re travelling the Route Napoleon by car from Grasse to Lyon like we were, this hotel makes a perfect half way stop. Not really near anything but next to a Brewpub that fortunately for us, being a Friday, had a great atmosphere and a live band. Room was entirely as expected with nothing whatsoever to complain about. Did not have the time to use the spa facilities and didn’t use the property for either dinner and breakfast as we prefer to go and explore the surroundings.

Hotel Les Autanes is located in the mountain village of Ancelle in the Haute-Alpes region. It offers traditional chalet-style accommodation with an indoor pool.

Great hotel, very nicely finished and nice modern room. Spa was a lovely extra. 5 mins walk from plan d'eau activity area with nice walks round the lake. Half hour walk to town centre.

Hotel Le Connetable features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Saint-Bonnet-en-Champsaur.

Wonderful place, lovely chatelain couple/owners, great location on a hill-next to the lake Serre-Poncon and Embrun village (5 km), small Crots village at walking distance (boulangerie and restaurant "Chez Pierrot fils"), hiking (e.g. Boscodon area, up to cirque de Morgon or even higher to Pic de Morgon with splendid view on the valleys) and multiple water activities on the lake are all close by, and wake up with a delicious breakfast in the impressive breakfast room. For once in your life, go for your dreams and enjoy feeling like a princess or prince in medieval times.
