the atmosphere and the history was great! The staff were all very friendly and helpful, Dinner and breakfast were delicious. The off street parking was fabulous and the beds were comfortable. We had a great stay and were really happy with this quirky pub!!

We had a very nice room, large bathroom, with a bath as well as a shower. The bed was comfy, and a really nice touch was some fresh fruit. The staff were very friendly as well. We ate at the restaurant and the food was good. There are a few outside areas to sit and have a drink which was nice as we arrived on a hot day.

Exquisite location, ambience and decor. Old with a modern approach. Log fires, attentive staff, clean and quiet rooms. They totally understand special dietary requirements so as a coeliac I had the full choice of the menu but a gluten free version prepared especially by the chef for both breakfast and dinner. The room was a superior, the bed was huge and super comfy, shower and bath in the bathroom and plenty of freebies, cocktails, snacks and suchlike.

Real Ales, fine wines, superb food and a warm welcome await from your hosts, Sarah and Lisa. The interior retains an old world charm, with log fires, stone walls and oak beams.
