This is a lovely pub hotel in a charming quiet historical village, with very friendly owners and staff. We liked everything about it, the rooms, the food and overall cleanliness. A great place to stay when visiting Stamford. We'd come back here any day. Very warmly recommended.

Lovely staff great food and fabulos bedroom We got up graded as they were launching their apres ski hut and wanted to ensure we got a quiet night -which looked brilliant fun but not for us two oldies who drank brandy in bed! Fire in the bar very cosy and Stamford is a treat especially on market day (Friday) sadly I had to work !

Check in, straightforward. On arrival we were upgraded, not sure why but grateful. The rooms looked recently refurbished. A lot of thought and expense have gone into making the room very warm and welcoming. If you expect a good nights sleep and a good shower as a baseline, you will not be disappointed. However, for us, the hosts go a little further than that, they provided two comfy chairs around a table where we could chip out and relax. We can’t say enough good things about the stay.
