we liked the orange room because of its floor to.ceiling windows with view over the rooftops of Lamezia. as seen from the bed. Spacious bath attached and another side room with sleeping couch. Smooth and easy handling through owners of the place, assisting also with recommendations on dinner locations for example. Quiet but central Location. Breakfast room always with selection of cakes, fridge and cooker. Attentive Housekeeping

My daughter and l stayed at the Lion hotel, 2 days before we flew back to London. It is a family run hotel and the hospitality was absolutely tremendous. The owner Mario, his 2 children and staff went above and beyond to make our stay a wonderful one . All were so friendly and attentive to our every need. The hotel is in a beautiful location, close to the airport, shopping mall, lovely scenic countryside and the sea directly opposite the hotel. We are at the hotels restaurant and the food was delicious, the included breakfast offers a wide variety. We swam in the pool which a good size and well maintained. One of the members of the staff Estella, was so accommodating and kind. I was given a lift to the airport by the owners son( excuse me l forgot your name ). We had the most heartfelt conversation regarding the quality of life in Calabria, we were both in agreement how we the simple things in life make you the happiest. He had the most wonderful outlook on life , that we had in common indeed. I hope you and Vicky had a well earned holiday in Stromboli . The view of the promenade by the sea and the wonderful sight of the ocean are excellent. The breakfast, served individually, is outstanding. The lounge situation is pleasant, and the friendly reception after midnight was a nice touch. Highly recommended !

I stayed in a room with a lot of comforts, such as air conditioning, free wi-fi, a large double-bed, a mini fridge (with a free fresh bottle of water inside!), plugs near both sides of the bed and a large wardrobe. The bathroom was clean, spacious and equipped with all the necessary amenities. A remarkable feature was the breakfast: served in a cozy room, self-service (so, you can have it whenever you want), a table very nicely set and a lots of options (tea, coffee, milk, cereals, biscuits, cakes, juices, etc.). Plus, the position was perfect: just a few minutes’ walk from the train station, where you can find buses headed to the airport. And moreover, it is worth mentioning the price: just 44€ euros!

We have stopped numerous hotels throughout Italy and this is by far the best. The staff went that extra mile with regards service and customer care. It is obvious that the owners spare no expense on the hotel clean, well maintained, well decorated even down to the shaving and sewing kit in the room. We are often in Amantea and will be staying in the hotel again
