ItalyIt's a beautiful monastery, it has a wonderful private garden and the staff is super friendly And kind. We were treated excellently. The morning ceremony was also very beautiful because a monk knew English and explained to us what was being said.Dinner and breakfast are excellent and tasty. I highly recommend this monastery. Don't miss it.

RomaniaThis is one of the best places I've stayed in Japan. Its situated in a quiet region, really close to the train station. Its a good option if you want to wind down a bit. The amenities, service and included meal were amazing. There are a few things to do in the surrounding area, but if you want a bit more, you can just take a train to Osaka (these come at an approx. 20 mins interval). I would definitely chose it again for the next trip.

Cute rooms (Japanese / Monk style); quiet place with a reasonable number of guests. Peaceful setting, well maintain. Enjoyed the hot baths. Vegetarian meals (very enjoyable). The Monk spoke a really good English. The morning religious service was a really good experience This was by far my favourite area of my trip around Japan. The food was extraordinary and the atmosphere was beautifully quiet and relaxing. The garden is a lovely spot to enjoy the quietness of Koyasan. This is not a hotel but traditional lodgings. The meals are served at either 5.30 or 6pm and breakfast is at 7.30 am after morning prayers. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Attending the morning prayer was an amazing experience. Location is perfect and mostly can be done by walking.
