We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Galle Fort. We arrived late in the evening and they came with refreshing towels and even had kept the restaurant open given that they assumed we would not have had dinner so that we could still order something which is super super considerate. The room was great, spacious and clean. We asked for a late checkout and while this was not possible anymore they provided us the ability to still take a shower at the end of the day and use their facilities before we would leave for the airport which was so much more than we expected. We also could leave our bags there. Breakfast was amazing and the chef himself checked in for every meal we had. We also had dinner the next day which was very good. The hotel is in a great location in the fort and beautifully maintained. The staff was ABSOLUTELY wonderful and did everything they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible, we would for sure stay here again in the future and I can recommend it to everyone. Thank you all so much!!!

The villa is an architectural pearl. The owner and her team do everything to make you feel comfortable. If you expect sound-proof rooms, thick sink-in carpets or whiskey-tasting: this is definitely not your accommodation. If you can appreciate nice, home-made (organic) food, being part of local nature and culture, well-equipped rooms (fan, no a/c) this hide-away could enrich body, soul and positive feelings about Sri Lanka.

I would HIGHLY recommend staying in the Fort area when visiting Galle. That being said, Fort Bazaar was the perfect place. Great service and perfect location. Bed and pillows were comfortable and shower pressure was great. Laundry service reasonable and same day. Good happy hour. Quiet for a good nights sleep. We booked a Double Bazaar Bedroom and it was a large room and only a few stairs (Room 12).

My wife and I had the most wonderful stay at Niyagama House. It felt so good to check in there after our two weeks of adventures in Sri Lanka. The property was beautiful with a big and beautiful pool. The staff was super friendly with an amazing service and the food was made by a true masterchef. Great hotel, large rooms with a large bed. Good air conditioning, large balcony. Room with a great view of the garden with a pool. Nice pool. Good breakfast, you can choose Sri Lankan or English. Great helpful staff. You can order everything to your room. I recommend this hotel.
