AustriaMy friend and I recently enjoyed a wonderful two-night stay at this fantastic hotel perfectly located in the very heart of Taiping town with easy access to anywhere and a handy internal door in the lobby connected to the next door mall. The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and exceeded international expectations, with a magnificent view of the lake gardens and surrounding hills. The rainforest shower was a powerful, satisfying and refreshing start to the day. All the staff were unfailingly friendly, attentive and courteous - our particular thanks to the front-desk lady upon checkout who kindly provided us with a ticket print-out for our ongoing journey. We were particularly impressed with the food: both the breakfast buffet and lunch/dinner menu were outstanding in quality and variety. It was a great pleasure to meet the manager in the restaurant on our last morning and pass on our justified and well-deserved compliments. We will certainly be returning to this Novotel in the future.

Our room was very comfortable. Huge bed and bathroom. Big breakfast buffet with lots of choices especially for local dishes. Swimming pool area looked inviting but we didn't use it. Proximity to Mall. Walking distance or Grab to all main sights. Local people we met asked us where we were staying and when we said the Novotel, they all said it was the best place in town We were able to get an early check-in a free room upgrade.
