We had an exceptional stay at Morgadio da Calcada. Daniela was welcoming and her communication leading up to our stay was excellent. The property is a true gem. Beautifully restored buildings make for one of kind guest rooms. Much thought and consideration has been put into the design and details of the rooms and property making for an excellent guest experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the 4 course dinner with wine pairing. Manuel, the owner, and the chef explained the food and wine pairing choices throughout. A wonderful experience dining outdoors as the sun set over the vineyards. Breakfast was fantastic with fresh eggs prepared to your liking. The drive to the property from Pinhão was the most scenic portion of our drive through the Douro Valley. Thank you to the whole team for a wonderful birthday experience.

Wow, where to start! This is an amazing property with super rooms, picturesque views and a five star restaurant! One never has to leave the property to feel totally relaxed and looked after but you can walk to the nearby town and explore.

The location and view from the place were amazing. The host, Bernado, is super friendly and helpful, and he gave us a lot of good tips. It was a very unique experience to stay at the place mainly because of the relaxing atmosphere, the beautiful interior and the friendly staff. The social evening dinner was a nice experience. Would definitely recommend this place.

Beautifully located on the river. Tranquil setting. Lovely old building. The barman was very helpful and friendly and even while very busy stayed professional and helpful.

Amazing Casa, a boutique hotel in a small town between Pinho and Regua. We had 2 huge suites, perfectly cleaned, nice decor, warm and cosy, we loved it. Kind host, great coffee, just the right breakfast. One of the best "hotel experiences" we had as a family.
