Love love love. The property is mind blowing Simple but so sophisticated. The pool, the restaurants, the grounds. Attention to detail and the personal touches so heartfelt. Fantastic stay! Great location—just a 10-minute easy walk to the center. Check-in was quick, the room was clean, comfy, and beautifully done with a spacious bathroom. Breakfast was fresh and served right at our door—delicious and convenient. Highly recommend!

I stayed three nights in April. And one of those nights was the blackout. The host and stuff were very friendly and helpful and made sure I had water and food. There's also a farm so you can walk in the area and see goats and even turtles in a pond in the fields. The pool was still closed so no comments. One can always find a kitty to pet there, especially during breakfast. I rode there with my motorcycle and did a ride from Ride magazine called "103 Castelo Branco". There's a big gate on the main road to enter the premises. The parking is a bit later, next to the house and it has a shade as well. Very safe and nice for a motorcycle parking. There are nice things to see and do around. I even managed to get to the festival in a nearby town 10 minutes away.

Just 2km from Monsaraz Castle, Monte Alerta is surrounded by a meditation garden, organic orchard and next to the largest artificial lake in Europe, the Alqueva.
