We loved our stay! It is a property with a long history, carefully renovated by the owners and it retained an old world vibe.. It feels like time has stopped and you are transported to a fairly tale here! I loved the attention to detail at every corner. The breakfast was the best we had in Portugal. The breakfast/dining area feels like you're in someone's home. We stayed in the main house and there were very few other guests while we were there. So we stayed a lot in the common area, on the couch with a fireplace. You can keep up the fire yourself and it keeps the room very warm. We were here in October. The weather was cold and rainy. It made our stay even more cozy. The bed was HUGE and super comfortable. We had a car. It would be difficult to stay here without one. It is a pleasant 30-40min drive to see the vineyards in Piñhao. We also liked the city centre of Vila Real, 5min driving from the property. All in all, our favourite stay in Portugal (and we stayed in 5 different hotels/AirBnBs).

Very friendly concierge, very helpful and accommotwd to out our hike away inside the premises. the coffee shop/restaurant next door was great and friendly as well.

Modern hotel with stunning views from every room, across the Douro River valley. Parking outside the door. Great meals and (mostly) very friendly, helpful staff. We enjoyed it so much, we extended our stay by a day. It was fun having a pool table to while away a rainy day.

Arriving to this magic place, you feel immediately comfortable. Maria and her team are very attentive and friendly. They take attention to every detail, it is such a pleasure to enjoy it at any moment of the day. The Quinta is placed in the vineyards and offers you a breathtaking view into the Douro. The ambience at the pool area is just relaxing, with homemade snacks and limonade and not to forget a good glass of Porto. The breakfast and dinner are from very good quality and with a lot of variety. Our superior room with a private terrace has a pool and valley view, just amazing!
