治安に不安があったヨハネスブルクですが、ホテルがあるサントンは治安が良く、ショッピングモールまで歩いていくこともできます（注意は必要です）。また、ホテルには、近場であればシャトルバスの送迎サービスがあります（行先は自分で指定する、帰りは電話して迎えに来てもらえます。16時から22時まで）。ディナーやバーは使用していませんが、朝食はビュッフェ形式で種類もありおいしかったです。空港までの行き方は、Uberか電車をお勧めします。電車は空港直結で、ホテルすぐ近くに到着します。値段は電車のほうが高いですが、ヨハネスブルクは車が込み合うことが多いので、電車のほうが速く、安全に移動することができます。レンタカーのオフィスが近いところたくさんあります。
