A toaster, a fridge and stovetop are also provided, as well as a kettle. Every unit is fitted with a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries. Towels and bed linen are available. This place is located in such a remote area that we couldn’t help but wonder, “How could there be accommodation out here?” (Though, that’s quite common in Tasmania!) We stayed here for one night on our way from Hobart to Lake Dove, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. Despite being in the middle of nowhere, it wasn’t scary at all—probably because it was fully booked. We were warmly welcomed by the very kind Gloria, and you could feel the owner’s thoughtful touches throughout the property. There was a washing machine inside our unit, and a high-performance dryer available in the shared laundry. The fireplace worked wonderfully, keeping us warm and cozy, and at night, we were lucky enough to see the Milky Way. It was a night we will long for, for the rest of our lives.

Waratah On York overlooks Launceston City Park and is a 5-minute walk from the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery. Cataract Gorge is only 3 km away, and Launceston Airport is a 20-minute drive. The staff is very helpful, and instantly response our requests. It's a heritage hotel on a high hill with great location and view. We stay the hotel twice, the whole family loves Waratah On York. Will definitely come back again.

The hotel is set in a row of renovated 1820s warehouses and a former IXL jam factory. It offers a bar and boasts a variety of original artworks throughout the property. A very spacious room with very good conveniencies in a stunnig hotel with loads of art and impressive design. The staff was excellent, providing a service tailored to the customer.

Situated next to a beautiful park, and historic cottages of Battery Point, and with excellent eateries nearby. Salamanca Place just down the hill. Exceptional!

Each of the unique cabins at Cradle Mountain Highlanders has cosy interiors, including a fireplace. All cabins are lined with beautiful Tasmanian timber and most cabins have full kitchen facilities. Some units have a luxurious spa bath and mountain views. The cabin is conveniently close to the visitor centre. It was cozy, comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed. Warm enough even on a snowy night, which made our stay very comfortable. The staff were very accommodating and kept guests updated about snow and road closures
