Built in 1586, the Gasthof zur Waag in Bad Zurzach is located close to the Rhine River, on the edge of the Black Forest. I was on a cycling trip and needed a hotel approximately half way between Basel and Konstanz. This led me to Bad Zurzach. What I liked about the property was the heritage building with its interior courtyard where the restaurant was located. Also, the staff were very friendly. There was a place in the courtyard for my bicycle to be safe overnight.

The location is fantastic with view over the Rhine. The room was small but the balcony was very much appreciated. A nice place/location to relax. This hotel is on my top list to come back next year.
