The food is amazing with a lot of local options that we loved. The setting is beautiful, amazing views and very private. No music, very premium environment. Our room was right on the sea, we woke up with the sun every morning. There were several activities available and we chose the night snorkelling. We had a magical moment swimming in the mangroves at night with the fluorescent phytoplankton (organised by Mucura travel). An experience to remember.

Simple but very elegant design. Such thought and care is put into everything. Excellent staff, particularly Karen. Snorkelling is great. Kayaks available. Boat trips to nearby islands. Private beach. Excellent breakfasts and amazing fish. There are no local bars or restaurants which I thought might be an issue but really wasn’t. Loved it. The most relaxed I have ever been. Ever. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

SABAI Beach Hotel features 200 metres of private white sand beach and free WiFi access in public areas. It is located in Barú Peninsula (an island), 20 minutes’ drive from Barbacoas Bay. - paradise just within natural beauty; we liked the mix of a modern and new set up in a natural scene - hotel is pretty new and - honestly - the pictures says it all, but seeing it live is just 10 times better - hotel is located on a private (!) beach, which is SO nice. It gives you 100% Caribbean feeling. Beach is clean and water is nice to swim in - room is big, nice and very clean - very good variety of food (could have more vegetarian options), nice quality - stuff is extremely friendly and helpful - overall: a really nice and romantic set up (even to propose, wedding venue, or else) for couples or a bunch of friends / family; if you need some time off to relax and enjoy yourself: definitely THE place to be - I couldn‘t think of a better place to stay after a few weeks of traveling around. Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Hotel Isla del Sol is located on Isla Grande Island in the Rosario Islands archipelago. It offers on-site water sports and a private beach area. We were treated like VIPs from the moment we reached the island. Excellent facilities, excellent food and the staff are some of the most friendly and helpful we have ever experienced. Absolutely love this resort.

Located inside the Archipielago de las Islas natural park, Coralina Isla Boutique features a restaurant, a private beach area, and a solarium in Cartagena de Indias. This is true paradise. The staff (a special shout out to Erika and Albero sp?), location, and food were beyond expectation. Snorkeling off your own private dock, kayaking around the island in 45 minutes,wandering around the island on little sand trails (there's even a little general store for chocolate and other hotels for lunch). The food was great, I've attached some of the menu, and there are vegetarian and seafood options, as well. Dining was even better, sitting at tables overlooking the ocean, and the tropical fish swimming below you was incredible.

Boasting a splendid beachfront location inside Rosario Islands National Park, the hotel is a 1-hour boat trip from Cartagena. Everything!!! Our stay at the hotel was worth every minute, from the boat ride from the dock to our return. The rooms are super spacious and comfortable, the staff is super friendly, the food is very typical and delicious. If you are looking for a place to really disconnect, relax in front of the beach and enjoy the advantages of being on an island, Islas del Encanto is the place.
