We really enjoyed our stay - the hotel has a very relaxing atmosphere, including the very green enclosed garden. The room was in the older building, with exposed wooden beams and cozy furniture, which we also liked a lot.

This unique hotel is a historic 300-year-old former prison built into the historic wall in Amberg, just 350 metres from the town hall square. An amazing hotel with a truly unique concept — everything is designed to resemble a prison, and the execution is absolutely brilliant! The idea is creative and fun, and the attention to detail makes the experience unforgettable. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were tasty, and the location is excellent, making it easy to get around. This stay left a lasting impression on us, and we’ll definitely remember it for a long time. Highly recommended to everyone looking for something different and memorable!

One of the best places we've ever stayed in. My wife walks with crutches, and we were immediately offered a room with lift access and improved comfort. Thanks to the very welcoming staff. Our room was spotless, featuring comfortable beds and quiet surroundings, providing an unsurpassed stay. A beautiful beer garden was a bonus. Our dog even got a welcome gift!

Location is perfect, few minutes walking to the old town, easy accessible by bus. The hotel appearance and decor and atmosphere are all so nice. We are family of 03 and were given a suit. There was only one bathroom but the floor has toilets for sharing outside which is perfect for the person who stays at lower ground and not disturb those who sleep upstair. Staffs are nice.
