Very friendly staff, we received a warm welcome at the hotel. Breakfast was delicious.

Within a tree-lined Victorian terrace, this 5-star boutique hotel is located in the fashionable West End, only 30 minutes' drive from Loch Lomond. Its oak-panelled bistro serves fresh, Scottish cuisine and over 300 wines. what a magnificent hotel. every room is different. all have so much character. this old building feels a bit like hogwarts. I am sure some of the stairs moved, and some of the pictures talked. we spend hours roaming around the hotel looking for hidden gems like the reading room and even the gym (not really a gem but it was fun looking for it). breakfast is a bit pricey for what you get but the room and the buffet are beautiful. staff is amazing, funny, smart, nice and professional. I would definitely come back. hopefully soon.

We had a great stay. The apartment is extremely spacious and set within the host’s home, which gives it a warm, welcoming atmosphere that instantly feels like home. The location is very strategic - perfectly situated between Glasgow and Edinburgh. The hosts were incredibly kind and friendly, and the breakfast was super tasty. A truly comfortable and convenient place to stay!

Location was a little difficult to find but we asked locally and then it was a lot easier.

We also got plenty of useful tips for restaurants and things to do in the area. The breakfast was superb. Many alternatives to choose from (i.e. not only full Scottish). Taste the oatmeal, it is delicious!

In the mornings, the hotel offers a choice of continental or full Scottish breakfast. The Orchid Restaurant serves delicious meals from the à la carte menu. During the summer months, meals can be enjoyed in the mansion’s romantic gardens. Beautiful area, close to airport but felt like we were in the country. Front desk arranged for a take away breakfast for us as we had an early departure.
