The property is non-smoking and is set 47 km from Kingsholm Stadium. The location, although among other houses, is very peaceful with magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. All was spotless and comfortable. We received a warm welcome from Bharat. Located in the heart of the Welsh market town of Abergavenny, Kings Arms Hotel offers bed and breakfast accommodation, a restaurant and free Wi-Fi throughout. The property is set in a late 16th century coaching inn. Breakfast was great, as was dinner. A fantastic meal. And I loved the access to nearby meadows for walking. A really cool place.

Two Rivers Lodge is set one mile from the historic town of Chepstow, close to the A48 Road. It features a restaurant, an outdoor eating area and a children’s play area.

Each room at Two Rivers Lodge Two Rivers Lodge has free Wi-Fi, free bottled water, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. We enjoyed a very tasty dinner in the restaurant as well as breakfast in the more casual area next morning. The room was well appointed though not a lot of floor space for our 2 large suitcases. There was very easy access from the car. The breakfast had plenty of choice and make your own cappuccino etc machines as well as boiling water for tea.

A full English or continental breakfast is served daily at The Three Tuns. The inn uses local ingredients, offering a relaxed bar menu and roast dinners on Sundays. Guests enjoy views of the castle from the beer garden and live music on Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Our room was a little shabby, but knowing that this room was built 70 years after Henrik VIII chopped the heads of his wife s makes it understandable. So 10 points overall.

The Priory is nestled within the historic town of Caerleon on the River Usk. Dating back to 1180, this hotel was originally a Cistercian monastery. It has a fantastic à la carte restaurant, and is situated in secluded grounds in the historic town of Caerleon, on the River Usk. We were returning from a weeks holiday in south Cornwall en route to the Pembroke car ferry. It was a long, arduous drive in the rain and decided to stop somewhere overnight. I knew at first sight that we'd chosen the right place. It was delightful! An old priory full of history, charm artifacts, comfort and to top it all amazing food in a restaurant full of ambience.

This historic country inn has delicious food and luxury rooms. It is within a few km of the famous Celtic Manor Resort, home of the 2010 Ryder Cup.

The Old Barn Inn dates back to the early 1750s. The individual rooms are chic, but match the rustic style. Each has silk furnishings and Egyptian cotton sheets, and feature complimentary wi-fi. Quaint; we had the penthouse suite which has a huge single room and jacuzzi and small balcony plus in an unusually hot day a ceiling fan which I am not sure all the other rooms have
