The extremely spacious rooms are warmly decorated, with super king-size Hypnos beds and large, floor-to-ceiling windows. Each room has an LCD TV with Freeview and Sports channels. Second stay and it was exceptional. How does this hotel smell so good? Clean, comfortable, lots of nice touches. Staff all amazing. I actually look forward to driving 4 hours to chesterfield for work because of this hotel!

Formerly a 500-year-old inn, this Derbyshire hotel in the heart of the Peak District offers rooms featuring contemporary décor, with a seating area and TV, and en suite bathroom with complimentary toiletries. The room was great. It was comfortable, bigger than we expected, and beautiful. The location was great as well. The staff were really kind and helpful. We had a great time staying at this hotel specially after our hike. Would love to stay there again someday.

Favourite thing was being able to watch the sunrise from the bed in the morning.

We stayed here as a family whilst visiting Alton Towers. The room was clean and spacious and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing! Would highly recommend a visit and we would definitely stay again.

It is possible for guests to sit outside and enjoy the property grounds. Beautiful quiet location with a lovely 10 minute walk down the lane to Buxton and a lovely evening at the Cheshire Cheese. Staff were very helpful and accommodated our late arrival. Cottage was very sweet and just what we were hoping for. Rooms were lovely and comfortable and everything was clean and nicely presented. Very convenient parking in the courtyard outside.
