Stunning views overlooking Rutland Water are offered at The Finch’s Arms, a 17th-century country inn in the pretty village of Hambleton. It provides elegant, chic rooms with luxury toiletries and cosy bathrobes. Had dinner there, it was excellent, service was great. Room was comfortable and ensuite very modern and efficient. Breakfast was superb.

Free parking is offered to guests. The whole atmosphere was just wonderful the whole way through the hotel. It’s beautiful decor, welcoming and comfortable.

The smallest county in England, Rutland is home to historic villages, rolling countryside and the traditional market towns of Oakham and Uppingham. On arrival the staff were very friendly. We'd asked for an early check in, and they pulled out all the stops to have it ready within 10 minutes of arrival. All staff, whether serving us or not, greeted us and were friendly. We were attending a wedding nearby and so asked if they could order us a taxi and they actually rang round to get us our preferred time. The room was quaint and comfortable and plenty of room. The bed was super comfy and everything very clean. We ordered breakfast which was well cooked and very nice. We enjoyed our stay so much that we promised ourselves that we'd return for a full weekend in Oakham and definitely stay here.
