Crossing the lobby was a walk full of receiving and giving smiles and bows. * The spacious room offered enough space to spread out our things. (We had the standard guest room.) * The pool area is nicer than it looks in the hotel-provided photos. Different beds and two pools are available—one for swimming and one with massage jets. You can directly access the bar from the pool. * Every driver in Yogyakarta knows the Marriot, which facilitates pickups and drop-offs. * The hotel is close to Yogyakarta’s ring road. This makes reaching from YIA and for trips north (towards Borobudur or Merapi and Merbabu) easy. At the same time, it takes some time to reach the city center. Adjunct to the hotel is a big mall with multiple food, shopping, and groceries offers. * The breakfast is the big highlight. The breakfast buffet offers anything you can imagine. There is sushi, ice cream, popcorn, different types of waffles, varying Indonesian food, multiple juices and smoothies, cheese, sausages, eggs… My only complaint is that the offer was too extensive to taste everything during our stay. The breakfast alone is a reason to stay at this hotel.

Outdoor play equipment is also available at Blue Garden Yogyakarta, while guests can also relax in the garden. The staff went out of their way to accommodate me logistically. Everyone was friendly and the serene, peaceful environment and background was everything I hoped for. I love nature so this was ideal for me. Wish I could have stayed longer.

The staff struck the perfect balance of being friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The facilities are top-notch, featuring stunning gardens and pools. The hotel offers plenty of activities like golf, games and spa, which allow for a relaxing day at the hotel just enjoying the facilities without getting bored. However, the highlight of our stay was the restaurant. Boasting an extensive variety of both local and western dishes, every item we tried from their menu over more than 7 meals was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, and we never got tired of the menu or disappointed with any dish. Kudos to the chef!!! Our 5-day experience was incredibly comfortable, and we couldn't have made a better choice!

The room is very comfortable. We also used the pool and gym, and were really happy with the facilities. Upon check-in, we received a welcome drink and snacks, which was a lovely touch.

It provides free WiFi access in all areas of the property and free on-site public parking for guests who drive. Wonderful!! Beautiful decor, cozy atmosphere. Great location in the cool neighborhood, many bars and restaurants nearby. Nice pool to cool off in the Yogyakarta heat. Air conditioning works very well. Excellent bed with top quality linens. We loved the hotel.
