One thing to highlight in particular: the breakfast was really good, while the selection was not huge it was absolutely sufficient and the food quality was truly great.

Casa Blanca Matera offers accommodation in Matera, at walking distance from the Sassi di Matera area, a UNESCO World Heritage site. WiFi is free throughout. The best breakfast during our 2 weeks in Italy. Room was perfect and window opened to a private courtyard if you wanted fresh air at night. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful. Location was perfect for reaching Matera in a 10 minute walk.

Offering a barbecue and children's playground, Agriturismo Nonna Rosa is set in Matera, 12 minutes' drive from the Matera Sassi UNESCO World Heritage Site. Beautiful place, very clean and renewed rooms, very comfortable. Staff is pretty nice and welcoming. Breakfast is excellent

Set in a restored Tuff-stone building, Hydria Rooms is a guest house located in Matera, 60 metres from Sasso Barisano. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property. From beginning to end the accomodation and service (of Bibiana) was perfect! It started with the very clear and good communication upon arriving. At the reception Bibiana received us very friendly and helpful, explaining us about the accomodation but also about the city, what to do Nd where to go. The room was very clean and everything we hoped for. Beautiful room with a nice big bath and a waterfall shower! “Alexa” the music system was a great bonus, playing whatever music you prefer. During the second day the room was cleaned very well (before cleaning again good communication: whatsapp text if we wanted the room to be cleaned and when). Thanks for the great experience 🙏🏻

Featuring free WiFi and a terrace, Masseria Torre Spagnola is set in a historic 16th-Century building, 9 km from Matera. Free private parking is available on site. The room was excellent and breakfast was extremely good !! The host was very nice!

Is was the perfect place to stay in Matera. The view outside the room was fantastic with a balcony that you can see all the Matera old city just across the Basilica . Best place for photos. The room we lived in was an old bakery inside a cave so you felt like living in old Matera ages.
