Having told the staff in advance that I had food allergies, they went above and beyond to servemeals for me that were safe for me to eat but also very delicious. The variety of dishes served was impressive. The staff also offered to create onigiri (rice balls) out of my unfinished breakfast. - The staff were very warm and accommodating and their interactions with guests contributed to the ryokan's very homely atmosphere. As a thoughtful gesture they gave me an akabeko keychain upon checkout as a souvenir - The private hinoki bath was a delight (note: you have to book it in advance during check-in) - The futon in my room was exceptionally fluffy and I slept really well

The hotel is located just a 5-minute walk from JR Koriyama Station. Everything was just perfect. Staff very kind, very good breakfast with both Japanese and Western options. Spacious room was very clean . I liked that my window could be opened. As a solo female traveller i felt very safe in the hotel. I was sorry to leave.
