Naoshima
Set in Naoshima, near Naoshima Pavillion, Naoshima Christ Church and Gokaisho Art House Project, Hoshikuzu has a shared lounge. The property is around 2.2 km from Chichu Art Museum, 2.2 km from Ando Museum and 2.2 km from Gokuraku-ji Temple. The property is non-smoking and is situated 200 metres from Sumiyoshi-taisha Temple. The place was huge with two bedrooms, dining room, living room, kitchen, bathroom, two toilets and upstairs space. Futons were comfortable and they even left some water and snacks for us. We had fun drawing in the guest book. All very clean and a great location. We were also able to leave our luggage at the bike shop at the port.

This was a lovely apartment with all the amenities and a strong life saving AC that helped us survive the Naoshima heat. The location is great, conveniently located just outside the city bus stop and opposite one of the best (if not THE best) Okonomiyaki places we’ve ever been in Japan.
The staff were incredibly helpful and lovely Great location Room was comfortable Excellent facilities
The room was spacious. After all the small hotel rooms in Japan, it was wonderful to have a large tatami room to relax in. There was a little sauna in the bathroom. We didn’t use it but it was interesting. The Yayoi artworks were a lovely touch.
This is a beautiful contemporary house with two stylish apartments on the ground floor. The staff were lovely, picking us up from the port when we arrived and providing advice on restaurants, art museums etc. even on neighbouring Teshima. There’s an art library in the lobby and state-of-the-art washing machine & driers upstairs. There are free electric bikes (we didn’t use as it was raining). Lovely bathroom, felt very relaxed and at home. Recommended xx
Amazing place to stay on an amazing island. TSUMUYA was a welcome and relaxing respite during our month long trip. The house is not luxury but beautifully curated and comfortable with an extraordinary range of art books. Perfect to explore the superb galleries and museums that are all in close proximity. Highly recommend renting an e-bike to make sure you explore everything. Amazing and thoughtful service from the owners including great communication, good advice and help transferring luggage. A real highlight of our trip.
The location was lovely and very close to art museums. So easy to travel around on the local buses. The Yurt was a big comfortable space with split-system heating, which we heavily utilised, and a small fridge. The staff were very friendly and the place just had a wonderfully relaxing holiday vibe.
Amazing Ryokan with friendly staff Perfect stay for honeymoon!
The room and the furnishings were brilliant Shower was excellent and the bed was super comfortable ! Private BBQ area was a great surprise and real treat after 2 weeks of restaurant. The food was delicious. Really enjoyed eating and drinking local produce including beer, salt, beef and pork. Marshmallows by the fire was a lovely touch Chairs by the campfire were perfect for a night time chill Very romantic Really memorable night for the trip.
1. Breakfast is included for free! Home-made bread and curry udon are tasty. 2. The hot spring area is small but good enough for a short shower and relaxation. 3. Staffs are lovely. They tried hard to find an additional pillow for me! 4. Parking space.
I loved Quaint House. The atmosphere was wonderful and created a relaxed feeling. The location is great. The rooms were very comfortable, with beautiful soft pillows and comfortable beds. I used both blankets, so two people sharing the room would perhaps want an extra blanket? However the air-conditioning warmed the room very well. The dining area down stairs was lovely, I appreciated having a microwave and somewhere nice to have dinner I would highly recommend staying here, I wish we stayed an extra night Thank you Quaint House!
