The communal room downstairs was a very welcoming space. It was a comfortable place to eat and talk and relax, and gave the opportunity to talk with the other people staying there. The owner had good recommendations for local things to eat and experience.

The host is a friendly and lovely lady who does her best to keep the guest house clean and running smoothly. She lived in a house next door and seemed to rather overwhelmed running the guest house by herself. We liked our room, though it was snug with our three futons and bags. We stayed two rainy nights.

Suuuuch a lovely place!! Owners are so welcoming and helpful, and the accomodation itself was ridiculously cute (seaside aesthetic) and well maintained/clean. Kitchen has all the supplies you need.

The onsen was fantastic, lovely that you can use as much as you like while you stay :)

Nothing bad to say about Katsuo Guesthouse. The owners are super friendly, and they upgraded me from the dorm room to a private room for free! The facilities are excellent, everything clean and comfy. Very handy map of the area and info provided as well. Wish I had stayed longer!

The most outstanding thing about this place is the owners who did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Aki cooked us such lovely breakfast. The owners provided great recommendations and tips on the area. The house itself is very big, clean, and is a great location for sightseeing in the area

Lovely hotel close to the Kochi station and Obiyamachi. We found this location ideal and the bikes are a great option for travelling around. Would definitely stay here again!

We very much enjoyed our 3 days at TheMana! Our little highlights were the private bath on the room balcony with a nice view at the moon and the sea, very delicious japanse dinners - one night served on the restaurant porch overlooking the sea, and a nice walk along the cliffs and through the villages right off the hotel. The entire staff was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. It was the perfect relaxing retreat with a nice local touch after 2.5 weeks of traveling Japan.
