The tatami rooms are lovely, we had the most wonderful autumn colours right outside our window. Fabulous. We also really enjoyed the veg. Curry in the evening.

The hotel offers public and private hot baths and a free shuttle to/from Miyajima Ferry Terminal. Free Wi-Fi is provided at the lobby. The room is very clean, the staff is extremely helpful. I left my JR ticket in the room and the staff is very accommodative. A highly recommended place to stay during vacation.

I highly recommend bathing in the hot springs; I hiked to the top of Mount Misen in the day, and relaxing the sore muscles in the hot spring in the evening really was divine! Dinner was amazing; absolutely delicious and you could tell how much passion they put into creating it.

Free Wi-Fi is available at the entire building. Miyajima Ferry Terminal is a 15-minute walk away. Very comfy room and excellent service and attention. They even contacted Booking because of a charging error that I hadn't even realized about and solved it before I ever notice it. The japanese breakfast was really good, lots of different things to sample and very well prepared. Excellent location at a walking distance from everything in town.

We had the half board with multi course traditional Japanese meals. They were amazing but yes, pricey. We wore our traditional Japanese. The hubby used the Osen and said it was fabulous. I didn’t go as I stayed with our 10 year old daughter who didn’t feel comfortable doing it. The staff was helpful and courteous. We left our bags with them on the day of checkout and they brought us to the ferry around 14.30.

The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. Each comes with a flat-screen TV and an electric kettle with green tea bags. All rooms have a private toilet, and some have shared bathroom facilities. We had a room overlooking the ocean wIth great views - with a balcony where we could sit and relax while enjoying the ocean and the sunset. The room was a traditional Japanese room with tatami and futon, which enhanced the experience! The location of the hotel was a mere 5 - 10 minute walk from the ferry, directly on the main road leading through town. On our way out the next morning, while at breakfast my wife asked a worker to fill her water bottle with hot water, which she gladly agreed to do. A few minutes later, forgetting about the water bottle, we left for the ferry. While sitting at the station waiting for the next ferry, the lady came running up (and I mean running) to return the now full water bottle. Needless to say the staff was great!

Reopened in April 2014 after renovations, Miyajima Morinoyado offers comfortable guest rooms and a spacious public bath. It is a 1-minute walk to Miyajima Aquarium and a 15-minute to Itsukushima Shrine. The room was nice and the view from the window was amazing! The onsen and food was beyond good and the staff was very nice and helpful!
