The free breakfast and evening buffet is amazing. The free shuttle to the station is huge bonus. The property is kept super clean and the staff is wonderful and very hospitable. The rooms are so spacious and the views from the room is unbeatable. I loved it!!!!

Massage and private Onsen were amazing with stunning wiew of Fuji. Lake is opposite of the hotel, also they have a free château transfer to the bus and train station. It was really comfortable. Hope will come back next year.

Came for 1 night and after meeting the staff, seeing the beautiful unique hotel, the rooms, facilities, view and location, we regretted not staying there more. Super recommended!

A Truly Special Traditional Ryokan Experience at Fuji Onsenji Yumedono We stayed at Fuji Onsenji Yumedono, a beautiful traditional Japanese ryokan located near Lake Kawaguchiko, and it was a truly special experience. We booked two rooms — one was a newer, modern villa-style suite in a separate area, which was absolutely lovely. The other room, for three adults, was located in the main building and was more traditional and a bit older in style. Each room includes a private onsen, which was a real highlight. Soaking in the hot spring bath after a long day of exploring was incredibly relaxing and luxurious. The main building has a cozy lounge with complimentary hot and cold drinks, available throughout the day — a very nice touch. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, offering some of the best service we encountered in Japan. Breakfast was served in a traditional Japanese-style dining room. Since we don’t eat fish, the staff kindly arranged a Western-style breakfast for us the next morning without any issue. Overall, this was a unique and memorable experience, blending warm hospitality, traditional charm, and modern comfort. Highly recommended for those seeking a peaceful and authentic stay near Mount Fuji.

Renovated in September 2018, Guesthouseほのぼの offers an accommodation with free WiFi in Fujikawaguchiko, 1.3 km from Lake Kawaguchi. The staff was the highlight for me but the property and location were very nice.

Charming hostel with cozy common places, great kitchen and the Fuji-san view from the balcony! Clean rooms, all necessary kitchen tools and city bikes to rent. It was great to ride across the lake (the rental is cheaper than near the lake beach). Friendly and helpful owners! Best hostel ever)

We stayed for two nights 4 people altogether. The host/owner is super friendly and very helpful. As some reviews already mentioned the will pick you up from the train station if you tell them when you'll arrive and even go to the supermarket on the way to the house. The location is perfect, you can see Mt. Fuji from your bed in the morning. Lake is juts a few minutes on foot and you have 7-Eleven etc. also quite close as well as a bakery. The house is quite spacious (we stayed in the three bedroom part) and has a very comfy feel to it. Unfortunately we couldn't really use the terrace because of the weather but I can imagine how you can spend an amazing time there. Highly recommended.
