You could tell great care went into the flavors and presentation — it felt more like a fine-dining experience than a typical hotel breakfast. If there’s one thing I regret, it’s that we couldn’t stay longer. I genuinely wish I had at least one more night to soak it all in, but we had a flight to catch. Still, this brief escape will stay with us for a long time. Swiss-Grand Beach Resort Kuantan is nestled on the pristine Balok beach 15km north to the east coast town of Kuantan, overlooking the inviting waters of the warm South China Sea. With the recent completion of its room refurbishment exercise, the resort offers revitalised and refreshed accommodation options ranging from the spacious Deluxe Rooms or Sea View Rooms to the larger suites. The beach is nearby, food is great, room is clean and comfy, and all staff are friendly and accomodating. Kiddie pool is knee-deep which is great for small kids. Adult pool is 1.5m deep which is quite deep for average asian adults and teens. Would be better if can lower the water level a bit. Breakfast is ok but can further improve, perhaps change the spread on alternate days. There was party and band until past midnight to welcome the new year. The fireshow and fireworks are awesome.
