To have a casino, bar, restaurant, and a cinema at the same place was amazing. The town near by (Hoorn) was a real taste of the Netherlands. Amazing.

There is also a studio with two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a living room. 20 km from Amsterdam. room was good ,clean. parking was easy. 10 min walk to bus station and that took 20 mins to central station. hotel staff and even people in neighborhood were extremely nice!

Famous for its distinctive cheese which shares the town's name, you can sample it for yourself from the market in Nieuwenhuizen Square. Other attractions include the 14th century Church of Saint Nicholas with ornate stained glass windows and carved woodwork from the period. Hotel and our room were gorgeous. The breakfast was included and served beautifully. Bed was very comfortable. A heat-pump in the room kept us cool and we slept wonderfully. The town is quiet and it was perfect for an evening walk after dinner in the hotel's dining room.
