We had the best time at this hotel and recommend it to everyone. The owners, Walter and Pepita, and all their staff are so lovely, helpful, and their food is delicious. Also, there are alpacas, sheep and puppies on the property that are friendly. The view from the rooms and the restaurant are incredible and it's right next to the Condor Cross viewpoint. You can see as many condors here as at the viewpoint, but could also walk or drive to the viewpoint to get a closer look. And most importantly - the owners were so helpful and kind; anything you needed they found a way. We watched as they pointed out condors, fixed one guest's broken trekking backpack, and when we had car issues he coordinated someone nearby to help.

Boasting a wide range of spa services, access to thermal baths and 3 gourmet dining options, the resort offers garden views from every room, a 3 hour-drive from Arequipa. Private parking is free. This hotel was just excellent in everyway. Staff perhaps are the best asset of the hotel. Lovely people, very professional, helpful and very friendly. The hotel is based in a nice part of the Colca Canyon, excellent to go for long, quiet and beautiful walks.

Llahuar Lodge is located along the trekking circuit of the Colca Canyon in Arequipa, approximately a 5-hour walk from the town of Cabanaconde, right at the union of the Colca and Huaruro rivers. LLahaur Lodge is very nice facillity situated close to the river. You are accommodated in the simply wooden huts, but there is really warm, no need to have a sleeping bag. We were suprised by large pancakes for the breakfast, it was nice. But the best of this place are three pools with thermal watter ca 38C. It is amazing enjoyment mainly after 6 hours descent from Cabanaconde.
