The staff were amicable and professional. We took the boat tour on the Douro, which was relaxing and scenic. We would definitely go back again to the Octant Douro.

Had an amazing view from my room during my stay. As it was off season, the hotel was pretty empty, which was not a problem as I was able to get great breakfast and dinner in the property. There's free parking right next to the hotel. There are many small towns nearby to get supplies if needed and great opportunities for hiking and exploring.

It features an outdoor pool and an on-site restaurant. Thank you to the whole family for making our stay a unique and wonderful one. David could not do enough for us. We loved Maria, such a lovely lady. Miguel, the owner, host and chef is a warm, generous man. The girls were also lovely, ensuring our enjoyment, comfort and safety (my husband is disabled and I have some current injuries that affect my mobility). Evenings with a delicious meal and good wines/ports from the estate were unique. There a are so few places that offer the opportunity to sit at a large family table and talk with your fellow travellers from all over the world while enjoying home cooked goodness. The views of the Douro from high on the mountain top were stunning. Thank you everyone for a most wonderful stay. This family understands hospitality in a big way and I highly recommend a visit if in the alto Douro.

It's the most beautiful setting in the Duoro Valley. Adorable, small Portugese town, not many tourists, at all, and not a lot of food choices, but a great experience!! Lovely staff, gorgeous property and room is amazing. What a value for what we received.

Amazing place to go and relax with the lovely view and pool area. I 100% recommend this place. Won’t hesitate to come back !

Guests can chill out in the outdoor swimming pool. Everything was amazing, beautiful and every detail is thought about. Wonderful staff who were available for anything at all - we had the most amazing stay and got engaged while we were there. Fabulous!!!

Free private parking is available on site. We had the most wonderful suite for our 3 night stay - spacious and beautifully furnished with lots of little extras. And a magnificent view of the Douro River from our room and private, tree shaded patio with a little pool to cool off in. We had picnic baskets delivered to our room for dinner and were happy to spend time in the beautiful space.
