Thank you for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. A dreamlike ryokan nestled in the middle of a small gorge surrounded by lots of forest. The onsen were a dream with a direct view of the river and forest. The varied and diverse food in the evening and morning was fantastic. The staff were very helpful and could fulfil our every wish. The pick-up service from the train station was also great. We can only warmly recommend the Ryokan to anyone who wants to forget everyday life. This is exactly the right place.

Great experience of staying here. It was calm and relaxing to have open air bath in the middle of forest. We could see tranquil atmosphere of Amagase onsen village with wall-like mountain alongside the river. Kaiseki dinner was fantastic. We could see true Japanese hospitality here. The owner, who is very friendly, as is all staff actually. In the middle of the charming old town of Hita, a relatively unknown gem. Make sure to book dinner, which is served in an adjacent restaurant, which belongs to the hotel. Amazing standard of cooking, Japanese with some international influences. The breakfast, served in the hotel, is Japanese and excellent as well. Our room had a private bath and shower. On top of that, there are two Onsen in the hotel as well, who can be reserved for private use by the hotel guests. Free parking right in front of the hotel.

Set within 33 km of Kanzeon-ji Temple and 33 km of Komyozen-ji Temple in Asakura, Roppokan features accommodation with seating area.

Amazing room with great staff who are very helpful. You have to pay cash a lot and they called me a taxi many times, as well as a free shuttle service to the staton at the end of my trip. The room was large and spacious and absolutely beautiful - the view was amazing! Although and old and dated place, it was still extremely comfortable and clean. The breakfast was also good had a very vast majority of choices

Staff is really kind, and the owner is a really cool person. Also, the onsen is great for relaxing. Had a great time, and got know many interesting places near the city. Just amazing! So many beautiful details everywhere on the property and the rooms like ikebana, face mask, private dining room for everyone, all electricity outlets covered with different prints, unique furniture..So much love and thought was put into everything. The staff and the owner went the extra mile eg special drop off time, adjusted breakfast time just for me..The breakfast and dinner were out of this world delicious.

I was greeted with kindness and sweetness. Everyone that welcomed me was nothing but amazing. I was offered a free upgrade for my guest did not show up. I was also offered breakfast. I was really happy that Kiyomi, one of the concierge, spoke to me and also offered a lot of restaurant recommendations. Everyone at the vicinity was so nice. The room was beautiful with a breathtaking view. The sauna was also very relaxing and is half in door and half outdoors. I loved it. Not only that but I had to leave early. The hotel gave me refund for the last day! I have never had that before. Where the hotel not only did not charge me but refunded me even though I had a booking. Exceptional. Everything. I would definitely stay here again.
