Our lady was exceptional, giving first class treatment in talking us through many dishes she served, constantly topping our water, cleaning our teapot. V filling so be warned and you get to try things you wouldn’t get these days or in chain hotels. The onsen was a relief from the long journey. The futons v comfy. The rooms have tatami mats and futons and the onsen is beautiful. It's like staying in someone's home! This is not a super-swish modern hotel, so if that's what you want go elsewhere, but if you want a place with real character, staffed by people who treat you as long-lost friends, then this is the place for you. The JR station is 10 min bus far away. The staff was very kind and warm as a real example of Japanese hospitality. This stay offers also several services like bike rental and onsen free tickets. The location was very relaxfull and quiet. Our room was equipped with tatami floor and futon beds. The room has several amenties, shower and bath tub. It has been a real japanese experience. Wooden and paper panels, tatami, futons, internal garden, traditional shower, in-room tea-set, yukatas, and many other details.
