The hotel is located conveniently 5 minutes away from the tube and 2-3 stations from the lively centre of Osaka. It's location is in a quiet neighbourhood so you have a nice and peaceful rest after the whole day of adventures in the city. Staff is most welcoming and pleasant and their breakfast is amazing, especially the Japanese traditional version! Facilities are brand new and kept clean all the time.

The hotel is in the old Japanese style, the location is excellent, next to the hotel there is a laundry and many restaurants, approximately 10 minutes on foot to the well-known street, self-checkout from the hotel, we do not need to go to the staff to check us out, The room service staff are polite, they don't disturb us in the morning and they don't knock on the door while we are sleeping in the morning

Location is very good. Close to food market and the famous billboard in Osaka. Room is very clean and cheap but the quality is really good. Staff are very accommodating of our requests.

This was a very nice change from the urban hotels during our travels around Japan. The proprietress is very charming and the breakfast prepared for us was very intricate with many Japanese foods. Sleeping and bathing traditional Japanese style is also something worth experiencing. To get there from Nara, take the train from Kintetsu Nara to Ikoma station where you can take the tramway up. You can just as quickly reach Ikoma station from Osaka. We visited in September and the last tram up was at 11pm. There was a restaurant open near the ryokan until 10pm (Indonesian). And if you are able to do some stairs, I highly recommend a visit in the morning to the temple complex above the ryokan. Keep following the steps above the first temples and you will find yourself on a truly magical path.

The accommodation facility of Gyokuzoin Temple features a hot public bath. The hotel is located in Mount Shigisan and houses a souvenir shop and drinks vending machines.

Interesting and beautiful location. Tasty traditional kaiseki dinner. A pretty unique opportunity to see the fire ceremony early in the morning.
