The property was spacious and incredibly clean. I picked the place for the tatami experience and was very satisfied overall, the seats, cushions, mattress, room and toilets were clean and comfortable. Birds chirping and sound of flowing water welcome us in the morning, coupled with the view of beautiful flowers and mini garden glass house makes this one of the best accommodation I had rented

The unit was tastfully designed. Well thought-out. Spotless! The private onsen was a plus! Tim and Leon were v v attentive. They knew the surrounding so well.... always could provide good choices for us to explore. Never fail to ensure we were very comfortable and safe.

Pension Ashitaya is an excellent place to stay as a base for skiing/snowboarding in Furano. The owner Jimmy-san is a kind man who graciously provided transport to and from the slopes and a restaurant every day. Outstanding value with the tatami and shared bathroom/ bath onsen. Truly exceeded expectations. Humble Japanese hospitality at its finest.

View of Mt. Tokachi from our Japanese styled room. Family friendly Ryokan. The tradition styled wooden onsen with the open aired option had a great view of the mountains! They provided Yukata and slippers in child sizes which was great! Felt nostalgic, as some of the furniture like the safe was from the 80s-90s.
