At the bus stop, there is a convenience store to buy drinks and food, cause there are no restaurant in this country side, although you can reserve dinner in the hotel. Then from the bus stop, it's a 10 minute walk to the hotel. Everything was just beautiful and tranquid. We really enjoyed our stay. Walking through the rice field to visit the famous Chūson-ji was our favorite day trip.

The ryokan features family rooms. This place was an amazing stop-over on our train journey from Kyoto to Sapporo. I think we were especially lucky being here on a Monday night as we were virtually the only people here! It meant that my son and I got the public onsen to ourselves which is superb (the outside area is right next to falling snow and a stream).

The food was amazing. It could not have been more perfect.

We loved everything at the hotel during our 5 night stay. We were promptly picked up and dropped off at both the ski resort and the local station on the hotel shuttle bus. The staff were lovely; polite and super helpful. Coffee machine in the foyer, ski room, onsens, and the beautiful Japanese dinner and breakfasts were to be experienced.
