Besides amazing nature views, comfortable rooms come with a flat-screen TV, a mini-fridge and an en suite bathroom. Yukata robes and green tea are provided. Guests sleep in Japanese futon bedding on the tatami (woven mat) floor. The room was big and confortable, the bathroom was amazing. The public bathroom is great and tattoo friendly. The view from the room is on the floating Tori and it was great. The staff is nice. They picked us up straight from the harbor you just need to ask.

Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. Entertainment options include cable channels and a DVD player. Certain rooms include an en suite bathroom. Toiletries and slippers are provided for in the private and shared bathroom. Staying at Kikunoya met and exceeded our expectations. The view from the room was gorgeous. Thank you to Omori who made our dining experience even more special.

Even better it comes with a lounge with free drinks and nibbles. Friendly and helpful staff. Traditional Japanese with choice of Yukata and tatami bedrooms.

Oyado Tsukiusagi is set in Miyajima, 600 metres from Five Storey Pagoda, less than 1 km from Itsukushima Shrine, as well as a 15-minute walk from Daisho-in Temple. It is located 2.4 km from Tsutsumigaura Beach and provides luggage storage space. Museum of History and Folklore is 1.1 km from the ryokan and Shiraito Falls is 1.5 km away. The hotel was just minutes from the port. The host was extremely helpful. Good coffee and tea available and a small area with homemade craft items for sale. The room was spacious including a balcony-like alcove looking toward the sea. The name - moon rabbit - was very fitting.

The spacious ryokan is equipped with 1 bedroom, a fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave and a toaster, and 1 bathroom with a bidet, slippers and a washing machine. The ryokan offers bed linen, towels and laundry service. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the host was very kind and helpful.

Traditional multi-course meals are served for dinner and a Japanese set menu for breakfast. Japanese-style hotel Mizuhasou specialises in fresh seafood and exquisitely prepared local seasonal dishes. Meals are served at the dining room. Food was amazing, very generous amount. Baths were lovely, beds comfy and staff helpful and pleasant. We loved our stay and would recommend to anyone going to Miyajima.

Featuring 2-star accommodation, Yamaichi Bekkan is set in Miyajima, 2.3 km from Tsutsumigaura Beach and 700 metres from Five Storey Pagoda. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The ryokan features family rooms. - When we checked in, they explained in great detail what to visit on the island (including highest/lowest tide times for the O-torii gate) and the recommended paths for the top of Mt Misen - We opted for the half board solutions and both dinner and breakfast were among the best we had during our entire stay in Japan - Room was a traditional Japanese setting. Cozy and with a nice view on the outside park (with deers wandering around) 10/10 would recommend

ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA is located in Miyajima’s Omotesando Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Miyajima Pier. The hotel offers a restaurant and Japanese-style rooms with free wired internet access. The place is incredibly well located, the staff is really friendly, the Onsen and Restaurant are also super nice and the room was amazing.
