Kanko Ryokan Yamato features city views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Ikoma, 8.8 km from Iwafune Shrine. The property is around 9.1 km from Higashiosaka Hanazono Rugby Stadium, 12 km from Nippon Christ Kyodan Shijonawate Church and 12 km from Shijonawate City Museum of History and Folklore. The ryokan has family rooms.

At the ryokan, each unit comes with a tatami and a TV. At the ryokan, all units have a shared bathroom with slippers and free toiletries. Yamato may not be the closest to Osaka, but it is still pretty close to Ikoma station from where you can take the Kintetsu line into the city. The area around the ryokan is amazing, but warning - the stairs going up to it are only easy downwards :D Yamato itself is amazing, it has everything for the traditional ryokan experience - tatami, futon, onsen and yukata. The owner is super nice and she even asked her husband to help me with my big luggages, thank you so much! I would definitely come back here if I'm in the area!

The ryokan also offers free use of bicycles. Kofuku-ji is 1.1 km from Musashino, while Kasuga Taisha is 300 metres from the property. The nearest airport is Osaka Itami Airport, 39 km from the property. Location is great, right in Nara park. Staff was helpful and understanding of the language barrier. Let us drop our bags off early before check-in. Great food and service for both supper and breakfast. Nice big room for the two of us. They were nice enough to order our taxi for us the morning we left so we didn't have to worry about hiking back to the train (or bus) station.

Offering public baths, Sarusawaike Yoshidaya is situated in front of Sarusawa-ike Pond. Kofuku-ji Temple is just a 2-minute walk away. Free WiFi is available on site.

Each air-conditioned room includes a seating area, a fridge and flat-screen TV with satellite channels. The bathroom comes with free toiletries. The front desk staff were SUPERIOR, the room was beyond our expectations. Located in the heart of NARA, it was a short walk to all of the attractions and downtown shopping/restaurant area. I can't say enough about the superior level of customer care we experienced and wish I could remember her name to give her credit directly.

Featuring 1-star accommodation, Hotobil B&B 潤 An inn that enjoys breakfast is located in Nara, 2.1 km from Nara Station and 21 km from Iwafune Shrine. This ryokan provides free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. The ryokan features family rooms. The host was very nice, she let us arrive early and greated us with tea, coffee and cakes. We had a lot of space to ourselves, including a japanese bath and a nice bedroom with comfy futons. Most of all, the homemade breakfasts (japanese style or occidental) were absolutely delicious and very generous. The location was quiet but close enough to walk to the park, temples and restaurants.

Basic Japanese-style rooms overlook the temple compound, and feature a tatami (woven mat) floor, on which traditional futon bedding is spread to sleep in. They are fitted with air conditioning and a safe. Incredible location in a very quiet part of town. Lots of temples in the direct vicinity. We were able to participate in temple rituals in the morning, and dinner and breakfast were both delicious.

A 12-minute walk from the Kintetsu Nara Train Station, Hotel New Wakasa offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami (woven-straw) flooring. A spacious public bath and foot bath is available for guests to relax in. Free luggage before and after check-in is available on site. Free WiFi is available at the entire building. The quadruple room with private onsen was amazing, the decor is very calming, and we really enjoyed the outdoor onsen experience. Everything was great. I found the bed comfortable however my partner not as much so I guess it can vary. The coffee in the room was good and the soft drink, beer and cookies were a nice touch.

Tsukihitei is located in the Kasugayama Primeval Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Each guest room has a Japanese-style decor and offer panoramic forest views, traditional tatami (woven-straw) floors, and shoji paper screens. Lovely location in the forest -- it's very quiet and scenic. At the same time it's still accessible by taxi so no issues even if you have more luggage. Great wooden bathtub and amazing bathroom products (full Aesop range). Tasty, varied and well portioned meals. You really feel spoiled by the staff, e.g. alcohol is included with meals, free minibar, complimentary matcha tea and snacks.

Featuring an open-air bath and views of quiet street, Ryokan Asukasou at the entrancne of Nara park is a recently renovated ryokan located in Nara, 1.8 km from Nara Station. It is set 20 km from Iwafune Shrine and provides a lift. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. We enjoyed our stay at this ryokan. It is well located to visit Nara. The room was very simple but this is part of the experience, and the staff had installed our futons during diner which was enjoyable. We had the kaiseki diner menu and breakfast included in our package, and it was a very interesting experience but it is not for Occidental people who are afraid of going out of their comfort zone… The staff was very obliging despite the language barrier.
