Beautiful accomodation. Nice, clean and comfortable. We loved the wooden smell and enjoyed the private bath. The breakfast was delicious. Easy to get to with a car. Self check in and check out process was smooth to do especially as we arrived late. Should have stayed another night or made sure to arrive early to properly enjoy the accomodation.

He guided us the unique flavors of each type of food and the best way of eating with various sauces and condiments. He took the initiative to give us pamphlets about the sight-seeing spots nearby. We took his advice and did another hour of touring to learn more about Atami. It was a very hospitable and warming journey we had had with this hotel. Hakone Checkpoint is 22 km from the ryokan, while Hakone Shrine is 25 km away. I think this stay was the best experience in my traveller’s life! From the moment I booked -requesting allergies and other details to the moment we left the hotel. I cannot express enough how attentive the stuff are! They noticed during the dinner our kid was left handed, and breakfast was served on the left side. All I can say is Wow! and thank each and everyone who made this unforgettable memory for our family!

Isoaruki no Yuyado Ushiogumo -6 years or older- features sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Kawazu, 37 km from Shuzen-ji Temple. Guests staying at this ryokan have access to a balcony. Guests have access to a hot spring bath, public bath and open-air bath. Really enjoyed staying at Ushiogumo: The facilities are brand-new and impeccable, amazing staff (!!), beautiful location that's close to scenic landscapes. The Kaiseki Ryori dinner was excellent, breakfast was great too! Each room has a private bath on the balcony. There's lots of amenities in the room. Plus, the hotel onsen is made available for private use from 6pm. It's a small property (I counted 7 rooms) and thus feels very cozy. The road in front of the hotel did not really bother us. The terrace windows are well-isolated to block out any noise and there's also the calming sound from the balcony onsen. Extra points for the super-friendly staff!!! ...who can also converse in English so it's no problem for foreign tourists.

Clean, spacious, modern decor, peaceful and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast was really good! Liked their farm to table concept with elements of fermatation. They also had a complimentaty free flow bar with an excellant variety of drinks. A good Ryokan to getaway from it all and recharge!

Situated in Atami and only less than 1 km from Atami Sun Beach, 素泊まり宿　瑞宝荘 features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. The property is located 26 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station, 33 km from Shuzen-ji Temple and 48 km from Mount Daruma. Lake Ashi is 28 km away and Hakone Open-Air Museum is 34 km from the ryokan. Host was extremely friendly; I was travelling with my son and we had great fun using google translator. Location was great. Room, although on the small side, was fine with a private bathroom. Small breakfast was provided and we were able to bring back food to have in the kitchen for dinner. We caught the beginning of the blossom season and Plum Park was an easy short train ride and walk. Also easy access to the bus to Mt Fuji lookout although we could only see the top of it due to cloud.
