Beds very comfy and fit out even better than the pics. Donna was very friendly and responsive to any requests. Well located across the road from the Bowlo & close to everything.

GermanyI had a fantastic stay at the Holiday Hut in Lightning Ridge! Marija, the host, was incredibly kind and welcoming - she even had a small Christmas tree set up in my kitchen, which made everything feel so thoughtful and personal. The hut is brand new, beautifully furnished, and very well-equipped. There were chilled water bottles waiting for me, the kitchen had everything needed to prepare a simple meal, and the living area was cozy with a sofa, small TV, and, most importantly, air conditioning to keep cool in the Outback heat.
The bedrooms were very comfortable, with great mattresses and plenty of pillows, and everything was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was modern and had a lovely and modern shower. You can tell Marija really put thought into ensuring her guests have the best experience possible. The location is peaceful but convenient - just a short walk to the supermarket and the local bowling club, which serves surprisingly good food for such a small town.
Marija and her partner went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. We spent a few lovely hours on their terrace, and I learned so much about the area’s mining history. With their tips, I even found a few small opal chips, which made my visit even more exciting!
For anyone wanting to channel their inner Indiana Jones and experience an authentic Outback adventure with some gemstone hunting, the Holiday Hut is the perfect place. Highly recommended!

Lots of space. The outside areas were lovely, such a shame we had rain the whole time we were there so we could not use them. It had a great kitchen area and everything worked as it should. The bathroom and shower were straight out of a show house. So beautiful and fit perfectly with the rest of the cabin!! The bed was soooooooo comfy and perfect t for my lazy day while it was raining outside. The staff were fabulous and helpful too. The laundry facilities were great too. The park is a classic Big4 top park. Amenities blocks are very well equipped, clean and functional. There is a large bad weather pavilion and multiple camp kitchen areas. The pool is large and partly covered and very clean. Cabins have fully equipped kitchens, large fridges and are comfortable. A joy to stay at.
