So we actually stayed in Le Var not the Gate House. We loved the grounds, the history, the peace and serenity and our cute room with the very generous, modern ensuite.

Historical cottage with oodles of character on the quiet end of town, with only a short walk to shops and pub. Beautiful floorboards, large bedrooms with comfortable beds and elegant chandeliers. The decor was gorgeous, rustic & quirky but practical and very comfortable. A very relaxing spot to enjoy nature - birds, bees, sheep and a huge pig! Host Jenny was absolutely lovely too. Bonus that we could leave our trailer parked up there safely while going out to Northam.
